Started Ayakashibito as there aren’t much VNs of interest left from last month. I’m pretty sure there’s already plenty of blogs who have reviewed it and you can find general information at vndb so I’ll skip that.
I’m not too far into the story but so far it’s proving to be a pretty fun story. The first part served as a nice way to introduce the reader to the world as well as telling what happened up until that point before throwing us into presumably the real start of the story. I question why sometimes stories seem obligated to throw characters into school no matter the situation however.
Woke up with amnesia along with everyone in your surroundings with the same amnesia? Don’t worry, for time being let’s go to school.
Summoned a petite king arthur who’s a woman no matter how you see it? Don’t worry, for time being let’s go to school.
Woke up on the wrong planet with no idea what’s going on? Don’t, worry for time being let’s go to school.
Did you get turned into a vampire and found your house taken over by a loli who has supposedly lived for hundreds of years and claims to be your master? Don’t worry, for time being let’s go to school.
Were you nearly killed by a mysterious figure last night and find yourself questioning whether or not it was a dream or reality? Don’t worry, for time being let’s go to school.
Students in Japan must be fairly diligent to attend school no matter the circumstances they are in. Well seriously speaking it’s not like I’m complaining about it, I just sometimes wonder how they manage to fit school settings into even the most ridiculous places.
Returning to the topic however, if speaking of Propeller works in this genre, I still think Evolimit is my favorite so in a sense it sort of spoiled me for other Propeller works as I end up tending to compare it to Evolimit. Regardless, it’s a refreshing change of pace from Monobeno I suppose.
As long as they handle the fighting aspect fine I’ll be satisfied, it’s more or less what I came in expecting after all. Then again it’s propeller so I’m not too worried about them betraying expectations by much.
Now to continue reading. Next post will probably happen when I’m finished with it.
