And here we go again. I mean, it’s just another nice and fluffy story, what could possibly go wrong?
I’m going to break one of these days…
Following along the same lines as Oozora, maybe a rough outline and that’s as far as things will go.
Our protagonist, Shogo has returned to his home town after 10 years. Just as he arrived he sees a girl who is seemingly staring at him.
She walks up, smells him and then proceeds to give him a big hug which knocks him down in the process. Indeed, it’s his beloved childhood friend
Wanko Anzu who he hasn’t met for 10 years. The nickname “Wanko” came from her personality being fairly close to a dog. Especially with the smelling and hugging people at random. Their meeting at the place was a pure coincidence but thus the childhood friends were reunited.
As Anzu guides Shogo around the town they come by a shrine where it’s revealed that Anzu has been visiting it on a daily basis. Near the premises of the shrine they find a certain girl happily feeding cats.
Anzu calls out to her and introduces Shogo to her. She introduces herself as Koneko, it turns out that she’s a childhood friend who probably came up a bit after Shogo left. Probably anyway.
She unsubtly likes Anzu very much and… doesn’t really like Shogo at all since he feels close to Anzu, being a childhood friend she didn’t know about and all.
Well either way, after talking for a bit Koneko decides to kidnap Anzu away, although Anzu was in the middle of guiding Shogo around town he decides that he’ll be fine alone anyway so he sends her off.
By evening he manages to find his way to the inn his relatives own, upon entering the inn he finds his cousin, Hijiri.
It turns out that unknown to Shogo, a deal was made with his parents that in return for living at the inn, he’ll have to work in it. And thus immediately after arriving he gets thrown into working until the night where Hijiri shows up again and guides him to his room. If you can’t tell by pictures alone, she has a relatively… teasing personality, I’m not sure if there’s an accurate word for it.
The next day Shogo finds out that there’s still another day until he goes to school therefore he has nothing to do. Hijiri’s mother tells him that he can go out since unlike last night, they aren’t as busy at the moment. Shogo leaves and along the way, gets hungry so he decides to enter a store.
Where he ends up meeting Sana. This is basically her only scene as far as I’ve read so there isn’t much to say but at the very least it can be said that she has some relatively… unique tastes, yes.
Moving on to the main story of sorts, Shogo finds out later at night that the supposedly clumsy Anzu occasionally drops by the inn to help out.
Anzu ends up teaching Shogo about working in the inn for the day and on the way of going home, Anzu stops by the shrine to pray again.
Hearing a bell sound she is led to the same place they met Koneko at and then after finding out where the sound came from, she prays again wishing that she could be with Shogo. Suddenly there was a very bright light and…
A talking dog appeared.
It turns out that the dog is god’s messenger and it will help grant Anzu’s wish. In order to use the power granted to her all she has to do is wish strongly for her wish to come true, and thus…
She appears next to Shogo…
When Shogo ever so happened to be in the middle of bathing.
In an additional explanation that happened later, the ability only works on Anzu alone, meaning her clothes are… left behind.
Skipping along the situation Shogo had to suddenly deal with and running into Hijiri who sees Shogo taking along a half naked Anzu, it’s explanation time!
For time being Anzu tells Shogo and Hijiri about what happened, needless to say it’s relatively hard to believe until Anzu managed to summon the talking dog by calling for him. It turns out that as expected, the dog (called Misaki dog, the god is called Misaki I think?) is here to help Anzu get her wish granted. Once it’s granted, the Misaki dog will vanish, the issue would be that Anzu herself isn’t quite clear on what her wish is. And the Misaki dog doesn’t know the wish either. Note that the keyword here is help. It doesn’t outright grant the wish, it basically takes the role of a supporter.
To explain about abilities, they’re basically granted one ability in relation to their wish and the dog itself has various abilities. Such as only being able to be seen by the people he wants to and transformations! Right away they decide to try it.
As Anzu runs around being chased by Hijiri who is going to
rape give her some loving, Shogo asks the dog what she gets for transforming.
It doesn’t understand what he means and pursuing the conversation further it’s discovered that… all it does is “transform”. Meaning it’s just about at the same level as cosplaying.
And thus the story begins.
Stories like this really aren’t suitable for me to summarize, oh well whats done is done. Despite all of the stories like this I’ve read recently, the fact that I can still continue enjoying stories like this despite that is pretty depressing in its own way. Looks like I have a long month ahead of me…
