Let’s see… Initially when looking at the story I was expecting some sort of random happy school life VN all over again. Okay fine, title considered maybe it isn’t just that. But still, when actually starting the game the atmosphere came off as relatively unexpected.
On one hand you have happy school life with your cute childhood friend Kobato waking up and your best friend Hayato (male) coming over to sleep with you (naked)
Yet on the other hand the story starts off with Takeya depressed. He got into an accident a year back and that caused him to repeat the year. As a result, he can’t completely familiarize himself with his classmates. He still manages somehow with the support of Hayato. That isn’t actually the main problem though.
However he lost his dear sister in the accident one year ago on that day.
It goes without saying that it was a great shock for him.
As a result though, while you could say the story is about happy school life it’s also not quite so. Fortunately the story does not end here, it starts here.
He meets various people whom as far as I can see have no relations to the main story and ultimately hears of the 6 secrets within the school, among them one in particular catches his interest. At the sunken old school-house, if you visit the lake during the school festival to celebrate St john you will discover the old school-house on ground again. And in that place, you can meet someone who you would usually no longer be capable of meeting ever again.
Following the instructions, he visits the lake with the sunken old school-house on a whim. There he meets Suzu once again, convinced it was just a dream, he enters the old school-house with her where he finds a world that’s as if Suzu never died. After school it’s time to return to the dorms. Before they leave, Suzu gave Takeya a charm that she said she no longer needs since she already had her wish granted. Upon leaving the school house, Takeya’s consciousness fades and he finds himself on his bed with Kobato and Hayato worried about him.
They tell him that he fainted next to the lake and wouldn’t wake up so they were worried about him. Convincing them that he’s fine, they leave after he denies their invitations to go for dinner by saying that he has no appetite.
Reflecting on the dream, he realizes something is in his pocket—the charm that Suzu gave him.
Surprisingly it seems I picked some pretty nice stories to kill time to the end of the month with. It appears I won’t spend a boring month after all.
