Well at the start I only had to deal with making the right choices, which wasn’t all that difficult. The story was enjoyable in its own way with some fairly common time skips here and there, rare in your average VN. Except It felt a little weird when thinking that they’re technically aging yet you don’t see the slightest difference but well, that’s excusable since it’s a VN. As the story progressed our protagonist slowly climbed up in positions and the world around him also began shifting around but then disaster (for me) struck.
The management part of the VN began and my progress got horribly bogged down as I kept looping into dead ends. It was pretty sad to see myself spend more time save/loading than actually reading the story. Around that time I raised the white flag and picked up a walkthrough and began making some progress.
By the end of it all, I was pretty much more happy that I was finished with the VN than impressed with the story itself. Not that the story was that bad. It was actually quite interesting, just the entire system made me spend most of time save/loading instead of reading.
With that said, I’m feeling pretty burned out from all of the fuss so I think it’s going to be a few days before I move to the next VN. There’s also the matter of C82 so… yeah, I’m out for a while. Next up is 終わる世界とバースデイ, fun will be had I expect.
