Just to update on things while leaving detailed thoughts for the actual post: decided to start off with playing this VN. Likely the most interesting VN of the month with its e-mote system, it blends in fairly well with the VN although characters may come off as a little too bouncy at certain moments.
That’s the main point of interest, outside of that I suppose you can call it a story that follows the same trend as the previous Windmill Oasis stories. At least this time around they made things more interesting, setting-wise it actually comes off as a more refined version of Shukufuku no Campanella. Namely, with a story less prone to making the reader fall asleep and best of all, without the pseudo rpg system. That part was especially terrible about Shukufuku, I honestly felt like I was in an endless loop of doing rehashed actions over and over.
There also appears to be something resembling a plot brewing with all of the blatant foreshadowing but it’s likely better to not expect much to come out of it for now and enjoy the lively atmosphere as well as the e-mote system.
And so, back to reading.
