For time being, the gameplay is relatively… okay. I’m not really fond of battle systems that come off as more of an accessory for the VN rather than an actual part of it. This feeling is only amplified as they decided it would be a good idea to ask you whether or not you’d like to skip the battle entirely on every occasion.
As a result, the entire VN gave off a feeling of “the gameplay doesn’t really matter, do it only if you feel like it”. Doesn’t really make a good motivator for that area of things.
On the other hand, the story so far is pretty average, the setting seems a little strange but I wasn’t expecting any less, the characters are pretty average but Erika saves the day with her personality so that’s that. In the story area the only problem I have at the moment is that there’s hardly a sense of crisis since all I’ve seen so far is fodder wolves and
recolored somewhat tougher, larger fodder wolves. Not exactly terrifying antagonists.
Overall this is shaping to be an average VN, considering I had slightly higher expectations it’s fairly disappointing but not by any means as bad as it could have been. Well let’s see if it can surprise me as things develop.
