It’s basically a SLG that has something resembling a story but the logic involved is awkward at times. The story begins with elves being chased out of their home and the amnesiac protagonist leading the elves because he may be a legendary figure that awakened to save elves. They must fight against the evil empire, reclaim their homeland and then defeat the empire!
That’s nice and all but after reclaiming their homeland they realized that they needed more power to defeat the empire so… let’s conquer the rest of the world before the empire does.
Right, because that’s such a great idea, to prevent the empire from conquering the world they’ll go ahead and conquer the rest of the world first.
Questionable logic aside, it was pretty nice how they foreshadowed various parts of the story from the very beginning, gradually advancing the story as the truth is bit by bit revealed before everything is revealed and straightened out in the grand finale. I like it when the foreshadowing ismore properly done and not just thrown right at your face. Especially when they decide that a flimsy mask is supposed to be enough to hide the identity of a mysterious character. It’s fine when it’s just a gag but when the main characters seriously don’t recognize them and are actually shocked when the identity is revealed, it’s in various ways stupid. This is prevalent even in the most serious stories (looking at you Baldr Sky).
Returning to the topic however, while the story wasn’t by any means a masterpiece, for a doujin game like this it was pretty decent and I’ve seen plenty worse.
