ふぁみ☆すぴ!!~FamiliarSpirits!!~ – Thoughts

Pamu is cute. Besides that it’s just a small game on my backlog that I’ve been intending to get rid of for a while.

On another note, I also went through 遊撃警艦パトベセル though I didn’t make a post about it. May-Be Soft really makes some great comedies,  that got a good few laughs out of me. Now if only their latest game wasn’t all ages. With how their stories tend to be like, it’s just a big tease for them to be like that. Hopefully they’ll release something else soon.

The setting takes place in a world where there’s a variety of parallel worlds. Amongst them there’s a peculiar case of where two worlds collided and merged to become one single world. Essentially the setting is what happens if you take a generic fantasy rpg setting (healing potions, revival at churches, elves, magic etc) and throw it into a pot with modern day humans.

In such a world, the story begins by following a slightly perverted protagonist who one day decided to make an attempt at familiar summoning. This is usually impossible for a human like him, because when excluding the rare cases, humans default to zero magic. However let’s be surprised, when he attempted to summon a familiar what appeared instead was a naked girl!

To top it off she’s a demon! A demon lord no less! Thus begins the life of a human and his slave familiar.

There was actually a fair bit of hscenes scattered about, then again when considering the protagonists personality this doesn’t come as much of a surprise. I mean, a perverted protagonist receives a cute girl as a slave familiar. What did you expect would happen? That aside the story is fairly generic and well, while it’s by no means terrible, nothing really stands out so it’s really just case of being normally enjoyable. Normally.

The highlight of the story was definitely Pamu and her interactions with the protagonist. Mind you, despite being a demon lord her father/mother were killed by a mysterious person and she was pushed off her throne in favor for her evil aunt (that doesn’t even deserve a sprite because she gets killed off screen and only ever got a grand total of about 5 lines). Therefore despite the imitating title, Pamu really ended up just being a poor girl who spends her time sadly in the oubliette.

She’s tsun for the most part but she very easily goes dere making the interactions fairly cute to watch, other heroines barely compare. With that said, other than Pamu there’s….there’s… not much to talk about. The spirits were cute as well I guess but that’s about it. Oh right, the art/animations were surprisingly decent to see despite being some 7 or so years old. Some games of this age look pretty bad which is why I generally don’t touch them.

Next up is… absolutely nothing. I’m taking a break from eroge until Madou Koukaku comes out in order to avoid a burn out as I’ve been chipping through a fair bit of them lately. My backlog has been reduced by a fair bit thanks to that.

    • Yep, Princess Witches was pretty damn awesome. Perverted protagonists usually (oddly) makes for more competent protagonists. Mainly because they’re too busy having their head filled with perverted thoughts to end up mopping around like some hetare protagonists.
