For the most part, much like the previous game from this company it relies heavily on comedy and I guess a bit of moe. At the very least the main heroine was cute enough throughout the story.
Though her route had drama in the form of POTENTIAL INCEST. They’re completely teasing the player with stereotypes, an assortment of cute childhood friends/siblings but not a single route for them. Meanwhile all of the heroines are practically utter strangers that the protagonist met for the first time after returning to his hometown.
That’s funny and at the same time a bit painful because every heroine is “paired” with a certain sub character and in one way or another she tends to get involved with the entire story as it progresses. This picture describes my feelings perfectly during Risa’s route:
The story generally makes meta jabs at various stereotypes of the genre. Such as the dreadful confession scene obstructed by noise plot device being solved by simply confessing a second time. I sort of found their previous game funnier but at the same time, this time around they managed to fuse together the comedy and romance/story a lot better. I hate it when you have a comedy, then as soon as you hit the individual routes drama kicks in ruining the atmosphere.
It’s like, if you’re going to be a comedy then stay that way, don’t stray off and become a love drama out of the blue. They achieved that pretty well this time, though it’s not as if there was no drama. It just feels that they managed to have things flow well enough so that the drama didn’t seem abrupt and out of place in the story.
Overall it’s a pretty light hearted read, definitely recommendable for people looking for a comedy.
For time being I’m going to sleep, good night.
