… I guess it’s because a capable and sharp protagonist would mean that he’d instantaneously realize that all of the women in the story have a thing for him. In fact, a protagonist like that might be relatively interesting, heh.
The protagonist Hajime is a butler to an extremely wealthy girl. Meanwhile the extremely wealthy girl, Nanami has a fairly queer personality. If we had to compare then it’d probably be Risa from ひとつ飛ばし恋愛. To be fair, she’s not as extreme as Risa since she was going past the levels of being entertaining to being obnoxious at times but both of them really do sprout some random things in conversations.
Relatively mixed feelings in that area but I guess it’s better than having a stereotypical character as the main heroine.
In that area, I actually find that the characterization was done pretty damn well. Although I’ve practically never been fond of shy archetype girls, Shiaya tends to tug and tug hard on my heartstrings at times. In general I find all of the heroines with the exception of Nanami whom I have mixed feelings about, to be pretty likable. So if I have enough time, I might consider going through all routes for once.
That said, not all is fun and play as there’s plenty of family politics going on behind the scenes. With Nanami’s mostly no brain personality, it’s all up to Hajime to defend Nanami from the crisis. Was pretty interesting to see the protagonist go around laundering money and whatnot. Well actually on that note, it’s not that he’s completely alone.
He has the aid of his wonderful best friend character! The personality of the best friend character this time around is fairly stereotypical, there’s just a single catch: It’s a woman.
Frankly I genuinely forgot that it was a she at times. It’s like they wrote a script with a male best friend in mind, then replaced his character design with a woman. In fact, that’s probably exactly what they did.
Anyhow, the story is shaping to have decent potential. It’s good that Ensemble didn’t blow this up like with DamaMuko which I had seriously played and dropped it within 30 minutes.
