Though I only ended up managing to finish one route.
Lately I really. REALLY, can’t seem to handle empty pure love stories anymore. Presumably this is because I enjoy seeing the process of the love more than the result, which stories like this focus on. I mean, the first thing they did was get the confession out of the way and the story itself branches quite early as well.
Was a bit awkward at the start where they were more or less forcibly cramming in character gimmicks so that you can get the gist of what the characters are like before pressing you with the choice that branches routes.
While it achieves its purpose of being cute very, very well, I always get a feeling that it’s empty since there’s no real goal in sight and if they wanted they could just keep the story going on forever. There’s no drama and all of that in itself is not a bad thing but… It’s probably just a problem of personal preferences but how should I say this… situations like this are more satisfying when the characters have to surpass a challenge before reaching that stage. Instead of it just being handed to you in a silver platter.
Well what can I say, for people looking for just seeing a couple doing cute things from start to end then this game nails it on the head. For people looking for anything else, you won’t find it here.
Next up I’m going to play 双子座のパラドクス mainly because I have nothing else to play for this month. I honestly think that it would be difficult for it to surpass Gensou no Idea in terms of dealing with dual protagonists but I’m hoping that it still manages to be enjoyable regardless. To begin with it may be a bit wrong to compare the two just because they both make use of two protagonists.
