恋咲く都に愛の約束を ~Annaffiare~ – Thoughts

Not so bad that I decided to immediately drop it, but at the same time it was really short so there wasn’t much to drop either.

First of all the characters are generic. Terribly generic. Because of that the start wasn’t exactly pleasant go through.

But then well, Winny the ghost showed up which had some pretty funny scenes and Winny as a character wasn’t all that bad either. I decided to keep going through the story just for her sake and…

Then another part of the story struck— it’s really short.

The common route is covered in about two hours. Then it took me a further two hours to finish her route, totaling at four hours. As I have no interest in the other characters I stopped here.

The story was pretty… average for Winny. Things probably would have been more interesting if it had been handled better since well, they went along the lines of: “The protagonist now has a goal. , he now achieves his goal. The protagonist now has a new goal. . The protagonist has achieved his goal.

Things can be pretty god damned long winded if the story telling decides to detail every single day such as the case with Gensou no Idea where I spent some 3 or so hours reading the first day of the story but I don’t quite like it when stories decide to skimp out on events as well.

Winny’s past was surprisingly tragic but it was handled in a sort of: “Look, this is Winny’s past. The bad guy in the past got what he deserved in the end, now we must help Winny pass on through the POWER OF LOVE.”. Not much room to feel sad about honestly.

It was an interesting how they tied one of the heroines together with her as her descendant of sorts though. More something along the lines of a really, really distant niece or something.

Well… I don’t know. It was short and ended moderately happily with its ups and downs. It had some funny moments so it’s not all terrible. Not something I’d really recommend anyone to read though.

Next up I’m going to read グリムガーデンの少女 which I’m hoping to be interesting as it’s more or less the only story-wise interesting eroge of the month for me. There may be some pleasant surprises for me waiting later on the road but for time being this is all I can see. Though of course in other genres there’s… LUNA’S FD and Amairo to read.
